IFALPA Structure The basic components of the IFALPA organizational structure are:

Member Associations gather annually at Conference where the Federation Constitution, By – Laws and Policies can be reviewed and revised if necessary, Conference has the ultimate authority within the Federation. Between Conferences, the Federation is governed by the Executive Board. They are responsible for the day – to – day running of the Federation, for making decisions as necessary affecting the implementation of policy, and for interpreting and applying the Constitution and By – Laws. Executive Board The President – Capt. Carlos Limon Capt. Limon has been active in IFALPA work since 1996 initially in the Accident Analysis & Prevention Committee. He was elected to the office of Deputy President in 2002 and has served as the Federations President since 2007. Capt. Limon flies A320 family aircraft for Mexicana Airlines and remains certified as an IFALPA Accredited Accident Investigator. Deputy President – Capt. Paul Rice Capt. Rice has served on the board of IFALPA since his election as Executive Vice President North America in 2007. As The Federations Deputy President he has oversight of the Accident Analysis & Prevention, Helicopters and Legal Committees. In addition to his IFALPA work he also serves as 1st Vice President of ALPA International. In addition Capt. Rice serves as co-chairman of the IFALPA Strategic Review Group. Capt Rice flies B747-400s for United Airlines. Executive Vice President Technical Standards (EVP TECH) – Capt. Richard Woodward A long time member of IFALPA Aircraft Design & Operation Committee, Capt. Woodward was elected as Executive Vice President Technical Standards at the 2007 Conference in Dubrovnik. He is a former member of the Aircraft Design & Operation and Aerodrome & Ground Environment Committees serving as the formers Vice Chairman. In his role as EVP TECH Capt. Woodward has oversight of the Aircraft Design and Operation, Aerodrome and Ground Environment, Air Traffic Services and Flight Engineers Committees. Capt. Woodward flies A380s for Qantas. Executive Vice President Professional Affairs (EVP PA) – Capt. Georg Fongern Capt. Fongern has served on the board of the Federation as Principal Officer Professional Affairs in 2003, a role that was re-named Executive Vice President – Professional Affairs following the re-structure of the Federation in 2006. Capt. Fongern has oversight of t Human Performance, Industrial and Security Committees, Dangerous Goods Committee and Industrial Advisers. Capt. Fongern flies A330/340s for Lufthansa. Executive Vice President Administration & Finance (EVP A&F) – Capt. Hans Peder Tanderup Capt. Tanderup was elected as the Federations Executive Vice President Administration & Finance in 2006. As might be expected from the title of the office, he works with the Administration & Finance Committee the stewarding of the Federations finances and oversight of budgetary matters. Capt. Tanderup flies MD80s for SAS Executive Vice President AFI/MID – Capt. Mohamad Kheir Hassoun Capt Hassoun was elected to the board in 2006, re-elected in 2008 and is responsible for the Africa and Middle East region. Capt. Hassoun is an instructor pilot at Middle East Airlines flying A320/321 & 330s. Executive Vice President ASIA/PACIFIC – Capt. Stu Julian Capt Julian was elected to the Executive Board in 2006 for a one year term and re-elected in 2007 for a further two year term and is responsible for IFALPA affairs in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining the board Capt Julian served as Regional Vice President South Pacific. Capt Julian flies B767s for Air New Zealand. Executive Vice President CAR/SAM – Capt. Germán Díaz-Barríga A long time member of the Aircraft Design & Operations Committee, Capt. Diaz-Barriga was elected to the Executive Board during the 64th Conference in Auckland 2009. He is responsible for IFALPA activities in the Caribbean and South America region. Capt Diaz-Barriga flies 737NGs for AeroMexico. Executive Vice President EUROPE – Capt. Henk de Vries Capt. de Vries was elected to the Executive Board in 2006 and is responsible for IFALPA activities in the European region he also serves as the Vice President of the European Cockpit Association which has been the representative body of the Federation within Europe since 2006. In addition Capt. deVries co-chairs the IFALPA Strategic Review Group. Capt de Vries flies B777s for KLM. Executive Vice President NAM – Capt. Dan Adamus Capt. Adamus was elected to the Executive Board in 2007 and has responsibility for the North America region. He is also President of the Canada board of ALPA-International which has been the representative body of the Federation since 2007. Capt Adamus flies CRJ200/700/900s for Air Canada Jazz. The Executive Officers are elected for two-year periods of office, with half being elected each year. Once elected, they are expected to act collectively on behalf of all Member Associations in the best interests of the Federation and to uphold the Constitution of the Federation. In addition to liaising regularly with the Secretariat on an individual basis, the Executive Officers hold meetings four times a year. The first meeting each year is held in January, the second in conjunction with the Annual Conference, the third in June or July, and the fourth in October. Overwater airspace of Tunis, Algers, Casablanca and Canaries FIRs Africa – South: SFO. Carl Bollweg Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Rèunion (France), South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe Overwater airspace of Luanda, Windhoek, Cape Town FIRs and the airspace extending westwards from 05 50S 35E to 12 00S 10 00W to90 00S to 27 00S 75 00E and the over water airspace of Mauritius, Tananarive, Beira, Durban and Port Elizabeth FIRs Africa – West: Capt. Souhaiel Dallel Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde Islands, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo (Democratic Republic of), Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Sao Tome et Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, United Republic of Cameroon Overwater airspace of Sal Oceanic, Dakar Oceanic, Roberts, Daka and Accra FIRs. Middle East – East: Capt. Georges Dib Bahrain, Egypt Arab Republic of, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria Arab Republic of, Yemen. Asia – East: Capt. Korn Mansumitchai Brunei, China (Taiwan) Democratic Kampuchea, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos (Peoples Democratic Republic), Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Socialist Republic of Vietnam Overwater airspace of Ujung Pandang, Surabaya, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok FIRs. Asia – West: Mr. Babar Zaheer Ahmed Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Overwater airspace of Bombay, Madras, Calcutta, Colombo, Yangon, and Male FIRs. South Pacific: Capt. Ian Getley American Samoa, Australia, Caroline Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Cook Island, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Federate States of Micronesia, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue Island, Republic of Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tahiti, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis Islands, Western Samoa Overwater airspace of Micronesia, Port Moresby, Brisbane, Melbourne, Tahiti, Auckland FIRs .Oceanic, unnamed airspace (ex-Honiara), are as south of the equator extending from the eastern boundaries of FIRs, Brisbane, ex-Honiara and north of Auckland Oceanic extending east to 157 00E. Also includes airspace extending south from the above-mentioned FIRs and from south of Easter Island FIR to 90 00S. North Pacific: Capt. Tsutomu Ishiyama West Coast of North America westwards, including the Aleutian Island Chain, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, Republic of Korea, Mongolia. Overwater airspace of FIRs Anchorage, Anchorage Oceanic, Naha, Tokyo, Taegu, Shanghai, Beijing and Pyongyang FIRs Caribbean – East: Capt. Kevin Burke Antigua, Bahamas Islands, Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Dominica, French Antilles, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Netherlands Antilles, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, Virgin Islands, West Indies Associated States, Leeward Islands Overwater airspace of Miami Oceanic, Houston Oceanic, Nassau, St. Juan, Piarco, Curacao, Santo Domingo and Port-au- Prince FIRs. Caribbean – West: Capt. Fernando Alvarez-Paczka Belize, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua. Overwater airspace of Central America, Habana, Kingston, Mazatland, Merida, Mexico Oceanic, Monterrey and Panama FIRs, plus the airspace bounded on the north by Mexico Oceanic, on the east of FIRS Panama and Guayaquil on the south by the equator and on the west by 120 00W. South America – North: Capt. Carlos Akl Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela. Overwater airspace of Barranquilla, Rochambeau FIRs and unnamed airspace bounded on the east by Guayaquil and Lima FIRs, on the south by 15 00S, on the west by 120 00W and on the north by the equator. South America – South: Capt. Alejandro Lopez Camelo Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, including Easter Island, Paraguay and Uruguay. Overwater airspace of Antofagasta, Santiago, Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas, Comodoro Rivadavia, Ezeiza, Montevideo, Porto Alegre, Brasilia, Recife and Belem FIRs, plus the polar region extending south to 90 00S and bounded by 10 00W, 90 00W and Easter Island FIR. Central Pacific: Capt. Greg Wolfsheimer United States and the Pacific between the West Coast of Continental U.S.A. and Hawaii. Overwater airspace of Oakland Oceanic, Honolulu, Seattle, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, Atlanta, Washington, New York and Boston FIRs. Europe: Capt.
